Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland, is a model and actress. Her debut film role as an archaeologist in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, 1989's Elsa Schneider - a Nazi-sympathizing character - in A View to a Kill (Bond film, 1985), she went onto play the Nazisympathizing Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Donnevan's role is in A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) also play roles. A photographer approached Doody. Doody took up modelling and subsequently an industry-related career in modelling. Doody did not shy away from glamour or nude work a clause which was extended to her acting career. When she came to the director's attention in a James Bond film, Doody accepted a minor role for a small part in A View to a Kill (1985). Doody's name appeared within John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 of the most promising new actors of 1986. 38. Doody was just 18 when she made her first appearance in the Bond character. To date Doody is considered to be the youngest Bond girl. Another early movie played a tiny part in the film in a small role as IRA member Siobhan Donovan in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) in which she featured Mickey Rourke. Doody had an unspoken role in the film as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias as she appeared in his film of a dream, the 1987 adaptation of The Secret Garden. She was Sapsorrow in an episode of Jim Henson's fable show The Storyteller, opposite John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. In 1988, she appeared with Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. The most memorable part to date was that of Austrian Nazi sympathiser and archaeologist Doctor Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. In the film, she also appeared alongside Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody is a co-star with three actors that have played James Bond. Doody appeared in the 1991 British mini-series Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. The film was based on The Hitler Diaries publication scam. Then, she moved to Hollywood. The role she played was Flannery on the screen in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. Doody made her acting comeback in 2003, playing a small performance on the British comedy The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at an awards show. Doody's roles included an appearance in a TV movie adaptation of King Solomon's Mines in 2004 as well as a booklet on the Holocaust and an animated short called Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. Doody appeared on Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. Doody was later a guest on RTE's medical drama The Clinic and was set to appear in a remake of horror classic The Asphyx but the project later stalled. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. In 2014 she appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way. The Almeria the tierra de film prize was given to her on November 21, 2018. She also received a star on the Almeria Walk of Fame.
