Charisma Carpenter
Charisma Carpenter, who was born July 23 1970, is an American actress. She was Cordelia Chase, a supernatural drama series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-1999) as well as its spin-off series Angel (1999–2004). She also appeared as Kyra in Charmed (2004), Kendall Casablancas in Veronica Mars (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell in The Lying Game (2012-2013), and Lacy in The Expendables film series (2010-2012 ).
Carpenter was the daughter of Christine Carpenter who was a bird sanctuary worker and Don Carpenter (a salesman) Born in Las Vegas. Carpenter is from Spanish, French, and German heritage (from her maternal grandfather). Carpenter was a student at Bishop Gorman high school in Las Vegas.[6Carpenter was an active member of a dance troupe which performed in Las Vegas Valley at nine years old.
Carpenter was Carpenter was 15, her family moved to Rosarito Beach, Baja California Mexico[2] and later relocated to San Diego, California. She went to Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter went on a trip across Europe after graduating. She returned to San Diego and worked in the video store as an aerobics instructor in addition to property management. In 1991 she was a cheerleader with the San Diego Chargers. In 1992, she moved from San Diego to Los Angeles.
While swimming in San Diego in 1991, she and her male companions were slain by Henry Hubbard Jr., a former San Diego police officer and serial rapist who tried to subdue them with a gun. In the course of the battle the two friends as well as Hubbard were shot, causing him to flee the area; both friends survived the assault. Hubbard was convicted and sentenced to a 56-year prison for a string of rapes, burglaries. Carpenter took Hubbard's police-issue flashlight to the beach which he'd abandoned at the scene and the flashlight was one of the key pieces of evidence against him.
