Aisha Hinds is an American actress best known for playing roles in the TV shows The Shield and True Blood. She has proven her versatility through 2003 when she has delivered amazing performances on television shows such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1, 1-8-7 as well as Under the Dome. Her role in Assault on Precinct 13 from 2005 was the very first role to attract her interest. It was however her portrayal of feminist activist Fannie Louis Hamer, in the biopic All the Way, which brought her the recognition she was due as an actor. Hind was also recognized for her portrayal of Harriet Tubman in WGN America's time-travel drama series Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. The series has been renewed for a third series by 20th Century Fox Television.
